Turning Leaf Two is a copy of an earlier work - done at the instance of my wife who said it
was needed for the next craft fair. Not wanting it to be exacly the same, I added a lid
made of walnut with a segmented ring insert. The piece, other than the lid, is made of walnut
staves with walnut inlays in maple overlays. This is absolutely the last one of these I am
going to make.
The vessel is finished inside and out with three coats of Waterlox (original - median sheen), the first of which was wet-sanded
in at 800 grit, and is 5" in diameter by 8.5" high.
