This piece is my first lidded vessel of 2007. Started several months back, it is made of walnut,
gaboon ebony, bloodwood and dyed veneer (between the staves). There are approximately 140 individual
pieces of wood in the work.
The vessel is finished inside and out with several coats of Waterlox (original - median sheen) and is approximately 5.5" in diameter by 6" high. The piece is, at this time of writing, still incomplete in that there is more finishing and buffing work to be done. |
